What the EcoVadis notification is?

EcoVadis offers company’s assessment service of CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) policy.

The EcoVadis assessment covers four main themes:

  • Environment: evaluating the company's environmental policies, actions and results.
  • Labor and human rights: analyzing the working conditions, respect for human rights and human capital management (HCM)
  • Ethics and governance: reviewing the integrity of the company, including the anti-corruption practices and the ethical behavior.
  • Sustainable sourcing: reviewing the supply chain management and the sustainable sourcing practices.

How to get the EcoVadis notification?

EcoVadis provides a form to the company in order to collect information on the four areas or themes mentioned above.

The company has a six-month time frame (which could be extended) to answer the questions and provide the documentation supporting its responses.

Once the assessment is completed, the company receives its scorecard with a rating (from 0 to 100) and the earned medal (platinum, gold, silver or bronze). The scorecard or the assessment sheet points the company strengths and identifies the specific areas needing improvement through an action plan ranking the topics in a priority order.
