ECRIN Systems proposed a modified version of its SFF (Small Form Factor) μONYX computer:

FEATURES
- Mission computer with MIL-DTL-38999 Series III circular connector
- Compact COM Express internal architecture with Core i7 System-on-Chip
- PMC and miniPCIe slots available for specific I/O configuration
CHARACTERISTICS
- By offering a MOTS (Modified COTS) version of its μONYX mission computer, ECRIN Systems provided the same connectivity interface as the system being replaced. The equipment manufacturer did not have to make any modifications to the carrier's cabling.
- The LRU is secured with captive screws, making maintenance easier.
- The NRE costs paid by the customer were very low because they were “pooled.”
- ECRIN Systems ported its BIT monitoring software (at power-up and in operational mode) to ElinOS (Embedded Linux) at the customer's request.
- ECRIN Systems will provide maintenance for 20 years, thanks to the guaranteed scalability of the COM Express modules.
