The suppliers we select specialise in the military and industrial markets, and their products have a lifespan of at least 7 years, or even 10 years.
In general, these suppliers all follow an end-of-life management procedure that allows actions to be taken before the product is actually discontinued (information is normally provided 6 months before the end of life so that a final order can be placed).
Where possible, manufacturers redefine a new product while maintaining maximum compatibility with the old one.
Under an ‘ECRIN VEILLE’ technology watch contract, it is possible to anticipate the end of life by actively monitoring the market and components (by default, every six months).
