The Condor GR5SL-B4000 expands the EIZO Rugged Solutions portfolio offered by ECRIN Systems with a 3U OpenVPX card designed for embedded systems requiring substantial graphics and GPGPU computing resources.
The NVIDIA RTX PRO 4000 Blackwell GPU provides 16 GB GDDR7 ECC memory over a 256-bit interface. It integrates 7,680 CUDA Cores, 240 fifth-generation Tensor Cores and 60 fourth-generation RT Cores, delivering up to 1,334 FP4 AI TOPS.
These processing resources support AI inference, AI-accelerated data processing and real-time situational analysis. The GR5SL-B4000 is positioned for C5ISR and high-performance embedded computing applications.
For additional background on embedded GPU technologies, see the ECRIN Systems guide on GPU selection for rugged PCs, servers and embedded computers.
The GR5SL-B4000 uses a PCI Express Gen5 interface for high-bandwidth communication between the GPU and other resources within the system.
NVIDIA GPUDirect RDMA enables compatible devices to access GPU memory directly, reducing intermediate transfers through host memory. This capability is particularly useful in systems combining GPUs with FPGAs, network interfaces or high-bandwidth acquisition devices.
The card also supports CUDA, CUDA-X and OpenCL, together with DirectX 12, OpenGL 4.6 and Vulkan 1.4 on Windows or Linux x86 platforms.
These capabilities address processing requirements found in Defense, Aerospace & Security applications and data-intensive Information & Communication Systems.
The NVIDIA RTX PRO 4000 Blackwell GPU includes dedicated hardware for video encoding and decoding.
The Condor GR5SL-B4000 supports H.265/HEVC, H.264/MPEG4 AVC and AV1. Ninth-generation NVENC encoders support 4:2:2, while sixth-generation NVDEC engines provide hardware decoding.
These dedicated engines can handle video-processing tasks while preserving general CUDA and Tensor resources for parallel computing and AI workloads.
The Condor GR5SL-B4000 is available with two cooling configurations:
VITA 47.1 environmental levels include CC4 from -40°C to +85°C at card edge, CCW4 from -40°C to +71°C at cold wall, and AFT2 from -40°C to +55°C. Shock is rated at 40 g, vibration at VITA 47.1 V3 0.1 g²/Hz, and humidity at 95% non-condensing.
The card is developed in alignment with the SOSA® Technical Standard and supports two slot profiles:
The Condor GR5SL-B4000 can be integrated as a GPU computing building block within a wider 3U VPX platform combining processor, FPGA, networking, acquisition, backplane, power and thermal management.
This fits directly within ECRIN Systems’ COTS and Modified COTS approach, which combines VPX processor, FPGA, GPU and communication boards according to system requirements.
ECRIN Systems can also provide project management covering technology selection, interfaces, power, thermal management and system-level requirements.
Depending on program scope, production and system integration and obsolescence management can also be included throughout the system lifecycle.
GPU, CPU, FPGA, backplane, networking, acquisition or thermal requirements: ECRIN Systems can support complete embedded system definition, from COTS technology selection through production and final integration.
