The Condor XR2S-B4000 expands the EIZO Rugged Solutions portfolio offered by ECRIN Systems with a 6U VPX solution designed for systems requiring high GPU compute density.
The board integrates two NVIDIA RTX PRO 4000 Blackwell GPUs. Each GPU provides 16 GB GDDR7 ECC memory on a 256-bit interface, together with 7,680 CUDA Cores, 240 fifth-generation Tensor Cores and 60 fourth-generation RT Cores. AI performance reaches up to 1,334 FP4 AI TOPS per GPU.
These resources accelerate highly parallel workloads including AI inference, signal processing, multi-stream video processing, sensor fusion and real-time rendering.
For additional background on GPU technologies used in embedded computing, see the ECRIN Systems guide on GPU selection for rugged PCs, servers and embedded computers.
The Condor XR2S-B4000 uses a 16-lane PCIe Gen4 interface and integrates two Microchip Switchtec PFX PCIe Gen4 switches between the GPUs and the VPX backplane.
NVIDIA GPUDirect RDMA enables compatible devices such as NICs, FPGAs or acquisition boards to transfer data directly to and from GPU memory, reducing intermediate host-memory copies and CPU involvement in high-throughput data paths.
These capabilities are particularly relevant to Defense, Aerospace & Security applications and data-intensive Information & Communication Systems.
The Blackwell GPUs provide hardware support for H.265/HEVC, H.264/MPEG4 AVC and AV1.
Ninth-generation NVENC encoders support 4:2:2, while sixth-generation NVDEC engines provide hardware video decoding.
Two DisplayPort++ outputs are available on the front panel.
The Condor XR2S-B4000 uses the SOSA® slot profile: SLT6-PAY-4F2Q1H4U1T1S1S1TU2U2T1H-10.6.4.
and is available in rugged air-cooled and rugged conduction-cooled versions.
Operating temperature ranges are:
The board also supports 40 g shock, 0.1 g²/Hz VITA 47.1 V3 vibration and 95% non-condensing humidity.
The Condor XR2S-B4000 can be integrated as a GPU computing building block within a broader 6U VPX system.
ECRIN Systems can combine this technology with other compute, networking, FPGA and acquisition modules through its COTS and Modified COTS approach.
Project management can cover board selection, backplane, power, thermal management, interfaces and system-level requirements.
Depending on program scope, ECRIN Systems can also provide production and system integration together with obsolescence management.
Embedded AI, video processing, sensor fusion, FPGA, networking or thermal requirements: ECRIN Systems can support complete embedded system definition, from COTS technology selection through final integration.
