ECRIN Systems announces the launch of the ONYX-AGX, a ruggedised embedded computer designed to meet the growing demand for real-time artificial intelligence in challenging environments.
Based on the NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin Industrial module, the ONYX-AGX delivers up to 248 TOPS of AI performance, enabling advanced real-time video stream processing, object recognition and the execution of complex algorithms directly at the edge. Its design meets the requirements of mission-critical applications demanding computing power, low latency and reliability.
The system architecture combines a 2048-core NVIDIA Ampere GPU with 64 Tensor Cores, a 12-core Arm Cortex-A78AE processor and two NVDLA v2 accelerators, offering a platform optimised for intensive AI workloads. It is backed by 64 GB of LPDDR5 ECC memory and 64 GB of eMMC storage, ensuring both performance and data integrity.
Designed for rapid operational integration, the ONYX-AGX features extensive connectivity including 10Gb Ethernet, Gigabit interfaces, CAN bus, RS232/RS422 serial interfaces, HDMI and USB. Options such as HD-SDI video inputs and NVMe storage allow the platform to be tailored to the specific needs of field applications.
Mechanically, the system features a compact, fully ruggedised design, with MIL-DTL-38999 connectors and fanless passive cooling, ensuring reliable operation in harsh environments. The ONYX-AGX is qualified to DO-160 and MIL-STD-810/461 standards and operates over an extended temperature range of -40°C to +55°C.
The ONYX-AGX is particularly aimed at the defence, aerospace, advanced surveillance and industrial sectors, where the ability to process complex data locally is a decisive advantage.
