- 32 optically isolated digital inputs
- 3 voltage ranges up to ±60 V
- 4 independent groups of 8 channels
- Per-channel programmable interrupts
- Air- and conduction-cooled versions
The QMC440, which completes the Acromag range of embedded solutions, provides 32 bipolar digital inputs for monitoring discrete field signals.
Inputs are arranged as four groups of eight channels, each with a separate common. The ports are isolated from one another and from the host PCIe logic.
This isolation helps protect the host system from noise, transients and field-wiring faults while providing high-density digital monitoring in the compact VITA 93 form factor.
Three electrical configurations are available:
| Version | Input range |
|---|---|
| QMC44x-1xxx | ±4 to ±18 V DC or AC peak |
| QMC44x-2xxx | ±16 to ±40 V DC or AC peak |
| QMC44x-3xxx | ±38 to ±60 V DC or AC peak |
Inputs also provide reverse-polarity protection and hysteresis.
This enables the same QMC platform to address different field-signal voltage levels.
Every input channel can generate interrupts on:
Debounce is selectable at 4 µs, 64 µs, 1 ms or 8 ms.
Typical response time is 15 µs ON-to-OFF and 35 µs OFF-to-ON.
These functions help reject switching noise while preserving independent event detection across all 32 channels.
The QMC440 uses the VITA 93 QMC form factor and a PCI Express 2.1 Gen1 x1 interface at 2.5 Gbps.
Two cooling versions are available:
USW-API software support covers Windows, Linux and VxWorks.
Its compact 78.25 × 26 mm footprint makes it suitable for high-density I/O systems, including industrial applications and selected Defense, Aerospace & Security platforms.
| Part number | Input Range | Cooling |
|---|---|---|
| QMC441-1111 | ±4 à ±18 V | Air |
| QMC442-1111 | ±4 à ±18 V | Conduction |
| QMC441-2111 | ±16 à ±40 V | Air |
| QMC442-2111 | ±16 à ±40 V | Conduction |
| QMC441-3111 | ±38 à ±60 V | Air |
| QMC442-3111 | ±38 à ±60 V | Conduction |
With 32 isolated inputs, three voltage ranges and independent event detection, the QMC440 concentrates high-density discrete monitoring into a compact VITA 93 module.
ECRIN Systems can help select the input-voltage range, cooling version and QMC carrier, then integrate the module with the other I/O resources required by your embedded computer.
