ECRIN Systems is joining the Laurent Bourguès – Sailing Team adventure as one of the partner companies supporting his Ocean Fifty project.
During the 2026 Route du Rhum – Destination Guadeloupe race, Laurent Bourguès’s trimaran will fly the colours of La French Fab, bringing together several companies united by a shared ambition: to showcase the skills, technologies and expertise of French industry.
Behind a boat competing in an ocean race lies much more than just a skipper.
Engineering, preparation, electronics, energy, materials, data acquisition, communication, analysis and teamwork all contribute to the project’s overall performance.
This approach is directly in line with the world of ECRIN Systems.
The design of embedded and ruggedised IT systems also requires bringing together a wide range of skills to achieve a single objective: overcoming technical and environmental constraints to deliver a robust solution when conditions become demanding.
In both fields, the final outcome depends as much on the technology as on the teams’ ability to prepare, integrate, test and anticipate.
In 2026, Laurent Bourguès’s project will take on a special dimension with the addition of La French Fab’s colours to his Ocean Fifty.
This initiative aims to bring together SMEs, mid-cap companies, technology firms, equipment manufacturers and industrial players around a sporting adventure designed to showcase the diversity of French expertise.
ECRIN Systems is delighted to be part of this collective.
From design through to the manufacture of its systems, ECRIN Systems develops IT solutions in France, specifically for embedded systems, defence, aerospace, the naval sector and demanding industrial applications.

Laurent Bourguès’s next major challenge will be the Route du Rhum – Destination Guadeloupe, which is set to start in Saint-Malo on 1 November 2026.
A solo Atlantic crossing during which the skipper will be able to count on a whole team working behind the scenes and on shore.
