- 20 isolated digital outputs
- 5 to 36 V DC supply
- Up to 0.3 A continuous current per output
- High-side, low-side or push-pull operation
- Programmable hardware watchdog and individual fault status
The TQMC603 expands the TEWS Technologies embedded I/O portfolio with a compact QMC module dedicated to digital output control.
The single-width module conforms to VITA 93.0 and connects to the host through a PCI Express Revision 2.1 x1 interface. A FRU EEPROM provides hardware information as defined by VITA 93.0.
Its 20 galvanically isolated outputs provide digital control capability while maintaining electrical separation between external circuits and the host computing system.
The wider QMC ecosystem is also presented in ECRIN Systems' overview of the VITA 93 QMC portfolio.
Each digital output operates from a 5 to 36 V DC supply and can deliver up to 0.3 A continuous current.
Maximum output update time is 4 µs.
The outputs are galvanically isolated from the host system and arranged in isolated groups of four, providing electrical separation between multiple groups of external circuits.
These capabilities provide compact digital control I/O for industrial applications and embedded systems requiring isolated output channels.
Every output can be individually software configured as:
This allows the electrical behaviour of each channel to be adapted independently to the external circuit being controlled.
This is one of the main differences between the TQMC603 and TQMC604. The TQMC603 provides fewer outputs but supports up to 0.3 A per channel and adds push-pull operation, whereas the TQMC604 provides 32 outputs rated up to 0.15 A with high-side or low-side switching.
Each output is protected against:
The fault status of each individual output is software readable, allowing the host application to identify the affected channel.
This provides channel-level diagnostic information directly through the module.
The TQMC603 includes a programmable hardware watchdog.
If the expected watchdog trigger fails, all outputs are automatically cleared.
This provides a defined output state if the host application no longer services the module correctly.
The TQMC603 can therefore be integrated into selected Defense, Aerospace & Security applications requiring compact isolated digital control I/O.
Two versions are available:
Both support an operating temperature range from -40°C to +85°C, a storage range from -40°C to +85°C and 5–95% non-condensing humidity.
The TQMC603 requires a carrier or host platform with a compatible QMC site.
The TPCE210 PCI Express dual-QMC carrier supports two single-width QMC modules. For CompactPCI Serial platforms, the TCPS210 provides three QMC sites with rear I/O through P2, P3 and P4.
This modular approach enables the TQMC603 to be combined with other QMC functions including digital inputs, serial interfaces, CAN FD, Ethernet or analogue acquisition.
For wider system requirements, ECRIN Systems can integrate the module through its COTS and Modified COTS approach.
Project management, production and system integration and obsolescence management can also be included according to program scope.
| Order code | Configuration | Cooling |
|---|---|---|
| TQMC603-10R-A | 20 isolated 5–36 V / 0.3 A outputs | Air |
| TQMC603-10R-H | 20 isolated 5–36 V / 0.3 A outputs | Conduction |
5–36 V outputs, 0.3 A per channel, high-side, low-side or push-pull operation, output diagnostics or QMC carrier integration: ECRIN Systems can support complete embedded system definition and integration around the TQMC603.
